Advanced Coaching – High-Intensity Training

The IFBB Academy Advanced Coaching – High-Intensity Training programme is designed for personal trainers, coaches, fitness professionals, athletes and sports enthusiasts who wish to develop advanced knowledge of strength training, exercise physiology, biomechanics, training programming and high-intensity training methodologies.

This comprehensive programme provides an in-depth understanding of the scientific and practical principles underlying strength development and physical performance. It covers functional anatomy, biomechanics, muscle physiology, energy systems, neuromuscular adaptations, muscle hypertrophy, fatigue and recovery, strength assessment, training variables, exercise selection, programming and periodisation.

Participants will also learn how to adapt strength training to different populations and individual needs, incorporate injury-prevention strategies and understand the fundamental principles of functional rehabilitation and return to training.

Particular emphasis is placed on training individualisation, helping coaches design programmes based on each athlete’s experience, goals, recovery capacity, injury history, availability and sporting context.
