Ejemplifica el movimiento m\u00e1s importante de todos: subir una carga desde el suelo hasta ponernos de pie con ella. Las dominadas llegaron despu\u00e9s: eran el resultado de alzarse con los brazos para ver cosas o personas cosas situadas en el horizonte. Vino a la vez la sentadilla: consist\u00eda en empujar contra una carga, transportarla sobre los hombros o arrastrarla con los pies. El press militar se concretaba en alzar algo sobre la cabeza o lanzarlo por encima de los hombros. Finalmente, apareci\u00f3 el press de banca, un invento moderno, ya del pasado siglo, \u00fatil para quitarnos de encima algo que nos agobia cuando estamos tendidos sobre el piso. Los 5 ejercicios representan lo mayor y mejor en funcionalidad, lo indispensable en cuanto a movimiento \u00fatil; por eso, resultan los id\u00f3neos para adquirir fuerza y desarrollo muscular m\u00e1s deprisa que con ninguno. Desde all\u00ed, bajar\u00e9is la carga hasta rozar la parte inferior del pecho y elevar\u00e9is despu\u00e9s los brazos para llevarlos al punto de partida. Se inicia estando agachados frente a una barra cargada, sujeta con las manos separadas a la anchura de vuestros hombros, manteniendo las rodillas flexionadas y las manos por fuera de estas. Desde all\u00ed, se sube el peso hasta ponernos erguidos, conservando la espalda recta, el pecho fuera y la mirada al frente, procurando que la barra ascienda rozando las tibias, sin separarla del cuerpo (habr\u00eda riesgo de lesi\u00f3n). Se trata de un sistema que permite ponerse en forma (o recuperarla) en un tiempo r\u00e9cord y conseguir un progreso acelerado de fuerza y desarrollo muscular. Se utiliza tres veces por semana, dejando un m\u00ednimo de dos d\u00edas de descanso entre cada entrenamiento.
